About our Board of Directors/Salem State College Assistance Corporation

The Enterprise Center is owned by the Salem State College Assistance Corporation which was established by an act of the legislature in 1996. This non-profit organization purchased the GTE Sylvania property located on Loring Avenue in Salem, Massachusetts.

The property which is today known as the Central Campus now houses new facilities for the School of Business and a new 450 student residence hall as well as the Enterprise Center. A capital campaign is underway now to fund construction of the Center for Performing Arts at Salem State College, the final project on the Central Campus.

The Enterprise Center at Salem State College was created as part of the mission of the Salem State College Assistance Corporation to create a supportive and nurturing environment for new and expanding enterprises whose services and development efforts benefit from and contribute to the academic, social and cultural mission of Salem State College.

The Enterprise Center manifests the commitment of the college community to be a major force in the economic and cultural development of the North Shore in the 21st Century and a "good neighbor" in the City of Salem.
